Byron Katie

Katie Byron Byron Katie has one job: to teach people how to stop suffering. When Katie appears, lives change. As she guides people through her simple yet powerful process of inquiry, called The Work, they find that their stressful beliefs—about life, other people, or themselves—radically shift. Through this process, Katie gives people the tool to set themselves free. In 1986, at the bottom of a ten-year fall into depression, anger, and addiction, Byron Katie woke up one morning and realized that all suffering comes from believing our thoughts. She realized that when she believed her stressful thoughts, she suffered, but that when she questioned them, she didn’t suffer, and … [Read more...]

About Diversity

About Diversity... As the creator of this series, diversity is very important to me. My intention is that the guests come from a broad range of culture, ethnicity, race, religion/spirituality, gender, and sexual identity. When inviting people to take part, I made a special effort to reach out to Asians, African Americans, and Muslim/Sufi teachers. So far, my efforts haven't been successful. But I'd really like to keep trying. If you are a passionate fan of a personal growth expert or spiritual teacher from one of those groups, please share that information in a comment to this post or email me directly at rc@cushnir.com. Thank you! … [Read more...]

Saniel Bonder

Saniel Bonder Saniel Bonder received an honorary scholarship upon entering Harvard in 1968 – but promptly had it revoked for helping occupy a building in a Viet Nam War protest. Soon afterward, he began two decades of spiritual quest, mostly with the 20th century Heart-gurus Ramana Maharshi and Adi Da. (He did come away from Harvard with a B.A., in Social Relations.) After leaving Adi Da’s work in 1992, to his surprise Saniel quickly underwent the radical shift he had sought. Since then he has helped hundreds of people awaken similarly and then clarify and express their distinctive gifts in service. The international Waking Down in Mutuality movement he founded now has over … [Read more...]

Thomas Hübl

Thomas Hübl Thomas Hübl was born in Vienna in 1971. As a 26-year-old medical student who was also very interested in bodywork and related therapies, he felt a strong inner calling.
