Roger Housden has published nineteen books, including the best-selling Ten Poems series of reflections on poetry, the novella Chasing Rumi, and four books on travel and pilgrimage. Intimately personal, his work weaves his outer life with his inner world. He writes that

All my books, whatever the subject – poetry, art, a journey through India or Iran – share a common aim: to inspire myself and others to question the way we live, encouraging us, before we die, to live into the best that we are.

Roger’s work has been featured many times in The Oprah Magazine, the New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times. Crown Books published his most recent book, Ten Poems to Say Goodbye, in February 2012. Roger came to the United States from his native England in 1998 and now lives in Marin County,California, where he holds regular writing classes on spiritual memoir and the authentic voice.
