Harville Hendrix, Ph. D. is a clinical pastoral counselor with over 40 years of experience as a therapist, educator, clinical trainer, author, public lecturer and has received many awards for his work with couples. He and his wife Helen LaKelly Hunt co-created Imago Relationship Therapy, a therapy for couples now practiced by over 2000 certified therapists in 30 countries. This global network of Imago therapists is overseen by Imago relationships International, where Harville is a leading voice on the board and within the international faculty. He and Helen have authored nine books on intimate relationships and parenting, including Harville’s New York Times bestseller Getting the Love You Want, which has sold over two million copies and been published into 60 languages.

Referred to by Oprah Winfrey as the “Marriage Whisperer”, Harville has been featured on the Oprah show 18 times winning Oprah her first Emmy for “most socially redemptive” daytime talk show. In recent months, he was included by Ms. Winfrey in her top twenty shows. Harville has also been featured on many other television talk show shows and in countless magazine and newspapers articles worldwide and is a dynamic and sought after lecturer. For the past 4 years, Harville has had a passion to help ignite a global movement to educate the culture about the value of healthy intimate relationships. Harville and Helen have been married 29 years, have 6 children and 5 grandchildren and live in New York City.

Helen LaKelly Hunt has been active within the women’s movement for over twenty-five years. She founded The Sister Fund, a private women’s fund dedicated to the social, political, economic and spiritual empowerment of women and girls, and has worked on behalf of many women’s organizations. She is honored to be an inductee in the National Women’s Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls, New York.

In 2005, Helen co-conceived and co-chaired Women Moving Millions, a campaign to give to women’s funds at unprecedented levels. She is now helping to lead the WMM donor community, that gives boldly to women’s funds and other organizations that support the advancement of women and girls.

Helen also wrote Faith and Feminism: A Holy Alliance, which was published by Atria books in the summer of 2004, and co-authored seven books with her husband, Harville Hendrix. Helen and Harville are interested in fostering a global couplehood movement, to support healthy couplehood.

Helen and Harville live in NYC and adore their six children and five wonderful grandchildren..
